How do I open a Logix Federal Credit Union Savings Account?

You can apply for a Savings Account online, by phone, or in person at any branch.

What documents do I need to open a Savings Account?

For a general savings account each account holder will need a U.S. Government Photo ID and Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

Teen Account
Exclusively for members ages 13 thru 17.

Estate Account
In a general sense, an "estate" refers to the total property, assets, and liabilities that a person leaves behind at the time of their death. It includes real estate, personal property, financial accounts, and debts.

Representative Payee
A "representative bank account" typically refers to an account held by an individual who is authorized to act on behalf of another person or entity. This representative, often called an agent or representative payee, manages the finances of the account for the benefit of the account holder. Representative bank accounts are commonly used in situations where someone may not be able to manage their own financial affairs, such as minors, individuals with disabilities, or those who have appointed someone to handle their financial matters.

What are the minimum balance requirements?

There is a minimum initial deposit of $5 to open a Main Savings Account and establish a membership.

Does the Savings Account earn dividends?

Dividends are earned daily and credited and compounded monthly at the rate that corresponds to your account balance. Click here to learn more.

Is there a monthly service charge associated with the Savings Account?

There is no Main Savings account specific monthly low balance fee or monthly service charge; however, we charge a Low Balance Fee of $5 if the combined total of your savings, checking, money market, certificate, and outstanding loan balances within the same account structure is less than $1,000 on the last day of the month. If incurred, this fee is charged to the Main Savings Account, provided sufficient funds are available; otherwise the fee is charged to another of your Logix accounts.
